Blair Gordon was born and raised in Georgia. At 17 he was scouted by a modeling agency and so began his journey in the fashion industry. When he was 24 he began working at Georgetown University shop, a haberdashery in Washington DC. He began as a stock boy and moved his way through the ranks to management. Ralph Lauren came to DC and recruited Blair to New York City to open the first Polo Sport store. From there, he was promoted every seven months for the next 10 years until he became the Senior Vice President of Creative Services for the Ralph Lauren brand. Blair was then quickly recruited by J.Crew and was made the first Creative Director and oversaw the entire brand. Eventually Blair grew tired of the industry and was ready for a change. He left J.Crew to pursue another passion of his, home design.
